A View from Home

My brother David who works with me at Stoneyard.com just got back from a visit with one of our favorite contractors, Fred Anderson. They were reviewing some of the work that Fred did this year at a private residence in MA. While they were there David snapped a few pictures. As we checked out the pictures we came across this one, which captivated our imagination.

What caught my eye was the old carriage path that meanders through the backyard. It made me stop and think about all the history that rolled down that path over the last 200 years. Being in New England, I can just imagine Thoreau or Alcott riding down this path pondering an idea for their next novel.
Not to mention that Fred did some great stonework at this site. You can check it out at our design center http://photos.stoneyard.com/gallery/2262321
If you have ideas like this, make sure you talk to Fred. He will help make your dreams become a reality.
If you're like me those dreams will include a horse drawn carriage drifting slowly down that overgrown path. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to have one in your backyard.
Enjoy the images.
Don't forget to pray for our troops over the holidays. They're putting themselves in harm's way so that we can enjoy our freedom.
Happy Holidays.
